Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NauticGrid (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers.

2. The Service

NauticGrid is a maritime disruption intelligence platform. We aggregate, summarise, and surface information about port congestion, shipping chokepoints, freight markets, and maritime news. The Service includes a public dashboard, a daily email brief, and (for registered users) account features and subscriptions.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register an account or purchase a subscription. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are using the Service in a business or professional capacity.

4. Accounts

You may sign in via Google OAuth or via a one-time magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for the security of the email account associated with your NauticGrid account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or engage in fraudulent activity.

5. Founder Pricing and Subscriptions

NauticGrid uses a founder pricing ladder. The price you see at signup is the price you pay for as long as your subscription remains active.

• •Founder Free: free forever for the first 100 registered accounts. No payment required.
• •Founder Early: $4.99 per month, accounts 101 to 200, locked at this price.
• •Early Access: $9.99 per month, accounts 201 to 300, locked at this price.
• •Standard: $49.99 per month, accounts 301 and beyond.

Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis until cancelled. Payment is processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method for the recurring subscription fee.

Locked founder pricing applies only while a subscription remains continuously active. If you cancel and later resubscribe, you will be enrolled at the price in effect at that time.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. See our Refund Policy for details on cancellations and refunds.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• •Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content or data from the Service.
• •Republish, resell, or commercially redistribute NauticGrid content without prior written permission.
• •Use the Service to train machine learning or AI models.
• •Attempt to circumvent rate limits, paywalls, authentication, or other access controls.
• •Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
• •Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.

8. Intellectual Property

All original content on NauticGrid, including written summaries, data visualisations, editorial analysis, and the daily brief, is copyright NauticGrid. The Service is licensed, not sold. See our Legal hub for the content license and permitted uses.

9. No Advice; Informational Use Only

NauticGrid provides information and intelligence for general business use. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, legal, operational, or freight rate advice. You should independently verify any information before acting on it commercially. Any decisions you make based on the Service are your sole responsibility.

10. Service Availability

We aim to keep NauticGrid available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable for scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, or events outside our reasonable control.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information on the Service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NauticGrid and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NauticGrid and its creator from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users or via a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which NauticGrid's creator is resident, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
