Terms of Service

Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NauticGrid (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and paying customers.

2. The Service

NauticGrid is a maritime disruption intelligence platform. We aggregate, summarise, and surface information about port congestion, shipping chokepoints, freight markets, and maritime news. The Service includes a public dashboard, a daily email brief, and (for registered users) account features. Optional one-time purchase may unlock additional access as described at checkout.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register an account or complete a paid purchase. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are using the Service in a business or professional capacity.

4. Accounts

You may sign in via Google OAuth or via a one-time magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for the security of the email account associated with your NauticGrid account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or engage in fraudulent activity.

5. Access and pricing

nauticgrid may offer a free tier and a paid option. The exact features available on the free tier and what a paid purchase unlocks are shown on the Service (for example on the pricing or signup flow) at the time you register or check out.

  • Free tier: No charge. Full home dashboard intelligence rail; does not include the Ports or Lanes areas of the app (see in-product description).
  • Harbor Pilot (paid tier): A one-time fee (currently USD 20 unless we display a different amount at checkout) processed by Stripe may unlock full product access for your account as described at purchase. Unless checkout clearly states otherwise, this is not a recurring subscription.

We may change advertised prices or tiers for new purchases in the future. What you agreed to at checkout governs the charge we collect for that transaction.

6. Refunds and account closure

One-time purchases do not auto-renew; there is no subscription period to cancel for that charge. Refunds and billing questions are handled as described in our Refund Policy. You may request account closure or data deletion by contacting info@nauticgrid.xyz.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content or data from the Service.
  • Republish, resell, or commercially redistribute NauticGrid content without prior written permission.
  • Use the Service to train machine learning or AI models.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, paywalls, authentication, or other access controls.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.

8. Intellectual Property

All original content on NauticGrid, including written summaries, data visualisations, editorial analysis, and the daily brief, is copyright NauticGrid. The Service is licensed, not sold. See our Legal hub for the content license and permitted uses.

9. No Advice; Informational Use Only

NauticGrid provides information and intelligence for general business use. Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, legal, operational, or freight rate advice. You should independently verify any information before acting on it commercially. Any decisions you make based on the Service are your sole responsibility.

10. Service Availability

We aim to keep NauticGrid available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable for scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, or events outside our reasonable control.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information on the Service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NauticGrid and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NauticGrid and its creator from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users or via a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which NauticGrid's creator is resident, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

16. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to info@nauticgrid.xyz.
